In 1975, representatives from the US Department of Labor awarded the Tool & Die Institute (now TMA) the prestigious credentials for apprenticeship training. Out with the old, in with the new
E.C. Machining Inc. has upgraded our capabilities once again. We have replaced one of our dated CNC mills with a brand new Mazak VCN-430A. The addition of this mill will once again increase the productivity of E.C.'s milling department. For information on how we can put this mill to work for you contact us today.
Lending a hand to science
The Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) is a leading edge, international experiment for neutrino science and proton decay studies, according to the DUNE website. Those of us here at E.C. Machining Inc. have been asked to step up and help. We will manufacture components required to complete the machinery needed to conduct these studies. The highly skilled machinists here will do all they can to help. It's the least we can do in the name of science.
E.C. assists with Wrigleyville makeover
It’s been an exciting year in and around Wrigley Field this year. The renovation of Wrigley Field and the surrounding area was announced in 2014. This renovation will bring many changes to the ballpark as well as some brand new building surrounding the park. E.C. Machining is here to help bring that to reality. We have had our hands on close to 30,000 aluminum extrusions to be used in the beautiful buildings that will soon stand tall next to “The Friendly Confines.”
Getting bigger everyday
E.C. Machining will be adding a Mazak VTC 300 vertical milling center in March of 2017. This new mill will increase our size capabilities dramatically. With a table length of just over 78 inches and a powerful 12,000 RPM spindle this mill can do it all. For quotes on your large, long or heavy jobs make sure to contact us soon.
New additions to our milling Dept.
The milling department at E.C. Machining is continuing to grow. Over the last few months we have added two new milling centers to our fleet of CNC machines. The addition of a Mazak VTC16B will allow us to handle a larger volume of work heading into the beginning of 2017. But, the real excitement is in the Mazak FH480 horizontal milling center. This new mill will allow us to handle high volume orders with ease.
E.C. surpasses 35th anniversary
Since 1981 E.C. Machining has been providing our customers with top notch manufacturing. Many things have changed since the first day of business but our commitment to providing precision parts is not one of those things. The company continues to grow and advance with the changes in manufacturing technology. We have overcome many obstacles to make it in a challenging field. With the victories of the past as our guide we have a blueprint for success far into the future.
E.C. Helps UIC autosports
When the UIC Motorsports club came calling, E.C Machining was there to answer the call. The Motorsports club needed their wheel uprights machined before the start of competition season. "E.C. Machining got theses done amazing fast," said Ruben Sanchez, UIC Motorsports Formula 15 Captain. "They were a lifesaver, and did an amazing job meeting the required tolerances and function of the part." The UIC Motorsports team is currently prepping for their next competition in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 17.
